What is Trixbox

Our Hosted Trixbox® telephony application platform is a customized version of Asterisk + FreePBX.  Like other distributions it uses it's own RPM respository.  In addition there are many value added applications.  Mostly the custom GUI which helps novice Linux user avoid having to do anything from command line.  Through this GUI Trixbox also adds multiple levels of log in authority. The PowerPBX team has packaged this Asterisk hosting distribution for use on our Virtual Private Servers. 

Who uses Trixbox

Anyone wanting the most widely used and tested Asterisk distribution that is easy to install and configure and offers support via a large forum community.  People also use it for the custom GUI interface that has simplified may things previously requiring command line access and knowledge of Linux commands such as updates via yum.
